Remembrance Exhibition 2018 - Binham Memorial Village Hall - 11th Nov 2018 Each year Binham Art Group supports a charity through raising funds from its events throughout the year. We are blessed by being able to pursue our pastime in the Memorial Village Hall.
2018 marks the centenary of the ending of the Great War and we feel it is appropriate and fitting that our chosen charity this year relates to supporting our Armed Forces. On this occasion we have elected to support two National Charities who do so much for our Armed Forces and and their families.
The display of ‘Postcards’ on the theme of Remembrance, was displayed in the Memorial Village Hall together with a display of poppies produced by the Binham Youth Group and a magnificent display by The Local History Group of records and memorabilia of the Binham heroes who lost their lives in the Great War. The displays have been now been moved to the Priory Church so that they may be read by all. The Art Group sold 18 postcards on Remembrance Day, so well done all. Thank you to everyone who bought postcards and if you wish to purchase more you may do so in the Priory Church.
