John started painting in oils when he was at school. Then came a long break until he attended an evening class for beginners watercolours about twenty years ago. There was another break and a move to Norfolk.
Retirement allowed him time to join the Group five years ago. Since then he has been a keen supporter and has learnt a great deal from the various demonstrations and other Group members.
John has also attended workshops by Ian McManus and Graham Howlett who have shown him how to loosen up when painting landscapes.
