Sorry for the late report but on 20th September Liz Hawkins, assisted by her husband Ian, gave the group an excellent introduction into the world of lino cutting. A whole new terminology - relief printing, Pfeil and Flexcut cutting tools, lino vs vinyl vs soft cut, chine- collé, baron and soft rollers and so on. Most of the audience had only previous done lino cutting at school so it was an enjoyable refresh to this fascinating subject. Liz, a former tutor, was an excellent teacher and guided the group through the whole process. Several members of the group had a go and produced some creditable results. It requires a whole new mind set as images and lettering are reversed - quite challenging at times. Anyway here's some photos of the process and results. Once again thank you Liz and Ian for the inspiration and sharing your knowledge.
