The ever popular 'Picture of the Month Competition' was suspended during Lockdown but we are resurrecting it through a dedicated BAG Monthly Competition webpage due to be launched soon. Full details of how to participate and how to vote will be announced shortly, so get busy with those brushes and keep checking for more details ....
Just a quick update for members to say that the Binham Village Memorial Hall remains closed for the time being so Tuesday morning painting sessions will not be starting just yet. We are however, hopeful that we may be able to meet once more for en plein air sessions, either within the gardens of The Chequers, with their socially distanced tables and outdoor arrangements, or at some of the local outdoor venues and sites like the medieval grounds of Binham Priory. Rule of six or whatever restrictions prevail permitting and of course some warmer weather.
Spring is such an optimistic time of the year and it would be good for the soul to get painting again. Keep checking back for updates meantime here’s one socially distanced way of painting outdoors (Notice the lockdown haircut!) : The Virtual Christmas Exhibition has proved to be popular so it is to be extended over the next period and will morph into The Virtual Winter Exhibition. The Group are adhering to the current Government restrictions so there will be no art lessons in the Village Hall for the foreseeable future. We hope the updated Virtual Exhibition will brighten up these dark days and lets remain optimistic that we can all get back painting again.
Seasons Greetings to all - Binham Art Group are pleased to announce their Virtual Christmas Exhibition is now open. We hope you enjoy this body of work done during the lockdown. Please note the images are low resolution to facilitate display on the internet. If you would like to purchase any of these pictures please submit your interests through our Contact Us page and we will put you in touch with the respective artist. Enjoy

As Binham Memorial Village Hall remains closed, members of the Art Group have continued to paint in their homes and studios and a few brave souls have been braving the elements by painting in the Marquee at The Chequers where hosts Simon and Sarah have provided a Covid secure environment along with hot drinks to keep our artists refreshed.
Sadly our Annual Summer Art Exhibition was cancelled this year so we have decided to produce a Virtual Christmas Exhibition as an alternative. Art produced during lockdown will be displayed in our new Virtual Gallery. Members of the public will be given the opportunity to purchase the pictures if they wish, by expressing their interest via our Contact Us page. We hope everyone enjoys the Virtual Exhibition, which will be launched in the coming days, and that it brings a little festive cheer to what has been a challenging year for us all. Meantime everyone stay safe and stay at home and paint! Following a successful trial on 21st July the Group have continued to meet at various venues 'en plain air'. The recent good weather has been favourable to painting outdoors and various locations, offering refreshments and toilets, have been selected including, Binham Priory, Morston Quay, The Chequers Inn Binham and Glandford Art Cafe and Ford. Others will be announced shortly and circulated to group members via email. They are proving both enjoyable and a relaxing way to get back into the groove!
We still hope our usual Tuesday morning venue - the Binham Village Memorial Hall will be open soon once the risk assessment and guidelines have been issued. Announcements will be made in advance once we have news of any plans to reopen the Hall. Meantime stay safe and 'Home is where the Art is" as they say... As the lockdown continues our artists have been trying to paint and draw but domestic distractions tend to take precedence. However, we are slowly seeing a steady trickle of contributions for the Virtual Gallery - please keep submitting them, and don't forget there is a prize for the best submission. Meantime, for inspiration, checkout Grayson's Art Club on Channel 4, probably the best show on TV at present! o edit.
